An Evening with Robert Pinsky

Join OBERON for an evening with three-time Poet Laureate Robert Pinsky as he combines poetry with jazz.  The night will feature live performance by Sam Kassirer, Zack Hickman and Liam Hurley (of Josh Ritter’s Royal City Band). Pinsky’s words will come alive with jazz as the background at the American Repertory Theater’s club theater, OBERON.
 
Robert Pinsky’s Selected Poems appears this April. Robert Pinsky has performed with many jazz musicians including Ben Allison, Bobby Bradford, Rakalam Bob Moses, Marc Seales and Stan Strickland to name a few. His honors include the Harold Washington Award from the city of Chicago and the LA Times Book Award. He is the only member of the American Academy of Arts and Letters to have appeared on both “The Simpsons” and “The Colbert Report.”
